Stick with the Scripture – 2 Timothy 3:14–17

Can the Bible be trusted? In this sermon Pastor David explains perhaps the most famous verse about the Bible, in the whole the Bible. Nothing else needs to be said about the Bible once we understand what Paul affirmed with elegant finality here, “all Scripture is breathed out by God.” That is to say God is the source of all Scripture. It is the very Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. If we didn’t have any other reason to trust the Scriptures this would be more than enough.

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 15 and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
