Christ-Centered Family – Colossians 3:20-21

What does it look like to do family in the name of Jesus? In this sermon Pastor David explains the role of children and parents in Christ-centered families. The responsibility of training up children to fear the Lord and the role of discipling them is laid squarely at the feet of fathers.

Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.(Colossians 3:20-21)

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), 3 “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:1-4)
