Who is the Judge? James 4:10-12
The Bible teaches God alone is Judge. He is the only Lawgiver, so we must humble ourselves before Him and refrain from judging and slandering others. In this sermon pastor David explains the connection between condemning speech and our view of others, our view of ourselves and ultimately our view of God and His authority.
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you. 11 Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the Law and judges the Law. But if you judge the Law, you are not a doer of the Law but a judge. 12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, He who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor? Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. (Ephesians 4:29)
